The Reviews are in for “PIPPIN” at Short North Stage:

The Columbus Dispatch’s Michael Grossberg states that “New York actor Corbin Payne emotionally anchored the story as the hopeful title character. Payne, a haunting singer in “Corner of the Sky” and “Morning Glow,” makes Pippin’s yearnings palpable, and thereby makes him real, even when the script pushes the character into contrivance.” Click here to read the full review!

The Columbus Underground’s Richard Sanford viewed the SNS production of Pippin as “Riotous and Charming.” Claiming that “Payne’s Pippin is more a cipher compared to the antic fun bouncing around him…..Payne is a rock throughout, the solid base everything can spark off or leap from, making the most out of his earnest songs like “Morning Glow” and “Corner of the Sky.” Click here to read the full review!
